The Stadium & Turf Enhancement Project at Troy Memorial Stadium & Ferguson Field (STEP) is a private project aimed at replacing natural grass with artificial turf at both of these heavily used high school venues in Troy, Ohio.

STEP is being done by a group of volunteers seeking funds through private donations and COMMUNITY SUPPORT. No taxpayer funds will be used in the construction of this project. The estimated cost is $3.9 million.

Once funds are raised, STEP would reconfigure Ferguson Field to a regulation-sized soccer field with permanent lighting and upgrades to the press box, bleachers, scoreboard and fencing.

​

After completion of the STEP, football games and marching band events would be held at Troy Memorial Stadium, while soccer games would take place at Ferguson Field.
